Kitchen Vinyl Wrap

Kitchen vinyl wrap is a self-adhesive film you stick over cabinets, cupboard doors, worktops and splashbacks to give your kitchen a new look without replacing it. Our peel-and-stick wraps come in matt colours, marble, wood and tile effects, and you can fit them yourself in a weekend.

What is kitchen vinyl wrap?

Kitchen vinyl wrap is a thin PVC film with an adhesive backing. You peel off the backing paper and smooth it onto a clean, flat surface. It changes the colour or finish of your kitchen without paint, sanding or new units.

It suits renters, landlords and anyone who wants a quick refresh. Most wraps can be removed later with gentle heat from a hairdryer.

Can you vinyl wrap kitchen cabinets and cupboard doors?

Yes. Cabinets and cupboard doors are the most popular kitchen surfaces to wrap. Flat doors are the easiest, and shaker-style doors with grooves can be wrapped with more patience and a little heat.

Take doors off their hinges and remove handles before you start. Wrap the front, fold the film round the edges and trim it on the back for a clean finish.

Popular cabinet finishes are matt white, matt black, dark green and wood effects.

Can you vinyl wrap a kitchen worktop?

Yes, vinyl wrap can cover a laminate or wooden worktop to change its look, often with a marble or wood effect. It’s a budget fix, not a replacement for a solid worktop.

To keep a wrapped worktop looking good:

  • Always use a chopping board, as knives will cut the film.
  • Never put hot pans straight on it.
  • Seal the edges round the sink and hob so water can’t lift the film.
  • Wipe spills straight away.

Can you use vinyl wrap as a kitchen splashback?

Yes. Tile-effect vinyl is a quick way to update a splashback or backsplash without re-tiling. You can stick it over existing smooth tiles or a painted wall.

Our Moroccan and mosaic tile wraps are the most popular choice for splashbacks. Keep the film away from direct heat behind the hob.

Which kitchen vinyl wrap finish should I choose?

Pick the finish by the look you want and how hard the surface works:

  • Matt colours: a modern, flat finish for cupboard doors and cabinets. Hides fingerprints better than gloss.
  • Marble effect: a light, high-end look for worktops and islands.
  • Wood effect and wooden slats: warmth for cabinets, island panels and open shelves.
  • Tile and mosaic effect: pattern for splashbacks and backsplashes.

Not sure? Order a sample first and check it in your kitchen’s light.

How much vinyl wrap do I need for my kitchen?

Measure every surface, add the edges you’ll fold round, then add 10 to 15% for mistakes and trimming.

  1. Measure the height and width of each door and drawer front.
  2. Add about 2 to 3cm on every side to wrap round the edges.
  3. Measure worktops and splashbacks the same way.
  4. Add up the total area and compare it with our roll sizes.
  5. Buy all your rolls in one order, so the colour and pattern match.

How do you vinyl wrap a kitchen?

You clean the surface, cut the film slightly oversize, stick it down from one edge and smooth out air bubbles as you go. A felt squeegee, a sharp craft knife and a hairdryer are the only tools most people need.

Kitchen vinyl wrap FAQs

How long does kitchen vinyl wrap last?

With good preparation and care, a vinyl-wrapped kitchen can last several years. Cupboard doors last longer than worktops, which take more wear.

Is kitchen vinyl wrap waterproof?

The film itself is water resistant and wipe clean. Water can get under the edges if they aren’t sealed, so seal round sinks and hobs.

Can I vinyl wrap a kitchen myself?

Yes. Our wraps are made for DIY. Flat cupboard doors are a good first project before you move on to worktops.

Can you remove vinyl wrap from kitchen units?

Yes. Warm the film with a hairdryer and peel it back slowly.

How do I clean vinyl-wrapped kitchen doors?

Wipe with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Avoid scouring pads and strong solvents, as they can scratch or dull the finish.
